Golden Drum 2025: Review
On October 12th and 13th, Julian and Alfie attended the Golden Drum Creative festival in Portoroz, Slovenia. Focussed on agencies from North, East and South East Europe, it’s one of the world’s most enjoyable festivals – with a little more time to linger over drinks and coffee with indie soulmates, than is usually possible at Cannes. We met some terrific new agencies, including the top prize-winner among the Indies; AIN’T. AIN'T is “a global grid of outstanding creative talent connected by the mission of creative excellence.” The agency is based in Milan, Paris and Bucharest and led by three strategic and creative genii, who have all learned that life outside Holding Companies is much more inspirational and enjoyable. We were also honoured to host a panel discussion with two members of thenetworkone – Kraken from Georgia and Ivalo from Finland, who each bought along a senior client; to discuss how positive relationships of trust, lead to brilliant creative campaigns leading to successful business outcomes. Many thanks to an incredible group of industry leaders including Jenni Ihatsu from Posti Group, Ilkka Ruotsalainen fromIVALO Creative Agency, Givi Gvetadze from SUBWAY Georgia / Wendy's Georgia / Dunkin' Georgia and Giorgi Kontuadze from Kraken. Last but not least, huge thanks to Mojca Briskic and Polona Simsic of the Golden Drum team, for being the world’s best hopes. We have agreed a special collaboration between thenetworkone and Golden Drum going forward into future years.

Social Media Monthly Round Up
LinkedIn:
LinkedIn’s new analytics show the value of content that sticks. - Saves – Track when your audience bookmarks a post to revisit later — a strong signal of meaningful content.
- Sends – Measure how often posts are privately shared, revealing those valuable behind-the-scenes conversations happening in DMs.
It’s a reminder that on LinkedIn, depth of engagement often matters more than reach. See more updates here
TikTok:
Community-first marketing is taking the lead across all major platforms. Audiences are no longer just followers — they’re collaborators, advocates, and co-creators. For brands, the focus is shifting from reach to relationship — building spaces where audiences feel seen, involved, and part of the story. Creators and brands are tapping into belonging over broadcasting. On TikTok, travel and lifestyle brands are seeing real sales from authentic community content — users are booking trips directly through the app, with conversion rates of 7.5% for brands like Princess Hotels & Resorts... read more
Instagram: Meanwhile, Instagram continues to make community engagement easier with new creative tools — including share insights, sound effects, and text presets — helping brands tell richer stories and inspire participation.
